These Terms apply when you use Between Us, create an account, purchase or complete an assessment, invite a partner, or view a report. By continuing, you agree to use the service only as described here and acknowledge the Privacy notice.

An educational tool—not clinical care

Between Us is an MD-created educational relationship-reflection tool. The creator’s medical credential does not make the assessment medical or mental-health care and does not create a physician-patient, therapist-client, or other professional treatment relationship.

Between Us is not a psychological diagnosis, couples therapy, mental-health treatment, medical advice, a validated psychometric instrument, a compatibility verdict, or a prediction of relationship success. It is not a substitute for qualified professional support. Do not use a report as the sole basis for a major relationship, safety, medical, employment, or legal decision.

Who may use the service

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into these Terms to create an account or purchase an assessment. Provide accurate information, use only your own account, and keep your password and private links secure. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

Accounts and report access

Your account is for your use. You may not impersonate another person, submit answers for them, test their private invitation without permission, or try to access another person’s answers or individual report. Between Us may suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, or operate the service.

Couples invitations and mutual sharing

A couples purchase lets two partners complete independently. The purchasing partner may invite one partner through a private link. The invited person must use their own account and accept the invitation. Do not post an invitation publicly or forward it to anyone other than the intended partner.

Each person keeps their item-level answers and individual report private. A combined report is generated only after both people finish and both sharing choices are recorded. The combined report interprets both profiles, so it will reveal information about the relationship pattern to both partners. Once a combined report is available, Between Us cannot control screenshots, downloads, or sharing by a person who can view it.

Self-report and AI limitations

Results depend on how each person understood and answered the statements at that moment. Scores describe relative tendencies in this assessment; they are not percentiles, grades, clinical findings, or measures of who is healthier or better.

Graph values come from deterministic scoring rules. AI is used only to interpret those scores and write narrative guidance. AI language can be incomplete, overly general, or mistaken. Between Us does not guarantee that a report will describe every person or relationship accurately.

Safety

Between Us does not determine whether a relationship is safe. Abuse, coercion, threats, stalking, sexual pressure, monitoring, or fear for physical safety are not ordinary communication differences and should not be framed as a shared negative cycle. If those concerns are present, consider using a private device and seeking help from a qualified local professional, emergency service, or relationship-safety resource. Do not rely on this service in an emergency.

Purchases and access

Prices and the assessment included with each purchase are shown before checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. Discounts and promotional codes may have redemption limits, expiration dates, or product restrictions. Unless a different policy is clearly shown at checkout or required by law, contact pdanielward@gmail.com if you have a payment or access problem so it can be reviewed.

Email and text communications

Marketing choices are separate from your purchase, your account, and your acceptance of these Terms. An email-updates box may be selected by default, and you may clear it before signing up or unsubscribe later. Necessary account, purchase, password, invitation, safety, and report messages may still be sent.

A selected request-to-text box authorizes only a confirmation request; it is not consent to marketing texts. Text marketing begins only after you reply YES. After an affirmative opt-in, messages may include relationship and communication ideas, quizzes, product news, or offers; frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to end texts or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Respectful and lawful use

Do not use Between Us to harass, monitor, pressure, deceive, or make decisions for another person. Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, scrape or redistribute proprietary assessment content, or use the questions or reports to build a competing assessment without permission. You may save and share your own report for personal use.

Availability and changes

Between Us may correct errors, improve questions or scoring, add features, or change availability over time. A later version of the assessment may not be directly comparable with an earlier one. We may update these Terms and will post the current date on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or account email when appropriate.

Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, the service and reports are provided “as is” and without a promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot legally be waived.
